- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Had a terrible experience. He came out to the home we wanted to purchase to appraise it like scheduled but then disappeared for nearly a month. I, nor the seller, nor our lender could get ahold of him. When we finally did he said he was struggling with the appraisal due to hunting season, he hadn't bagged his elk yet! Then a week later he decided the home was in too much disrepair to bother finishing the appraisal and just quit, although at the time of the actual appraisal he assured us the home was fine and just needed a few cosmetic touch ups, like fresh paint. He nearly cost me my house with his delays. I told my seller what had happened and she was furious, turns out she had hired him to appraise a home she was trying to buy and had to wait several months for her appraisal and had almost no contact with him the whole time. If you need a home appraised in Carbon County, Wy, just pay the extra 100 bucks and go with Hastings in Cheyenne from the start, or Mike Zeiger. We got our appraisal (and then field review) back within a week from both of them.By A Google User, March 09, 2017
